I really didn't intend to vacate the property for over a month, but sometimes life happens.
As in, I think I really learned how to relax this summer and over the last couple weeks, my time has been filled up with some traveling, lots of cooking, wine, friends, golf, books and just enjoying life.
It's a good thing to learn when to say no and enjoy the scenery instead of always racing around like a mad-woman.
So what have we been up to?
Went to Branson, Mo for the weekend...
Bought my first set of golf clubs.
Marketing geared towards women in a sporting goods store is hilarious.
Why yes, I'll take the box of golf balls that comes with 4 different color options.
Realized going golfing is so good for our marriage. We have the biggest blast together.
I swear, 3 1/2 years in and I love him more today than ever.
Accessorized and stocked the basement bar.
Believed in the healing power of the Netti-Pot-seriously...bye bye 3 day sinus headache.
Hosted a dinner party.
Became completely obsessed with Pinterest.
Read Blind Your Ponies.
Went to College Station for the weekend.
Decided to start growing out my hair.
I've had a short bob for the last 10 years and am ready for a change.
Went completely nuts for Christmas in October. I CANNOT wait for Christmas this year. I'm all about honoring the turkey, but seriously. My decorations this year are the bomb.
Decided to host Thanksgiving-the Mr's mom is coming in town. The Mr is frying the turkey so all I have to worry about is the sides and dessert. Yah yah!
Found Duckhorn & Clos Du Val wines at Costco. If you saw a girl doing a jig in the wine aisle...the was me.
Got a wild hair to host a Christmas Open House.
I figured we've done all this work on the house this year, might as well enjoy it, and I LOVE to throw a good party.
So thats pretty much been my last month, in a nut-shell.
Stay tuned for lots of Holiday recipes, decorations and partay ideas!
